Tuscan Chicken Simmer recipe at Kraftfoods.com
I found this recipe today after my friend Kasey recommended this website: http://www.kraftfoods.com/KF/DINNER/DinnerLandingPage.aspx
It was so easy and yummy! We served it over pasta and with a salad. Just a few changes for next time: Double the sauce, maybe add a little milk and maybe add some capers! Yummy!! Great dinner that seems very 'gourmet.' At first my boys cried about trying something new but once they tasted it they loved it! They ate up every bit on their plates. Which, of course, makes a happy mommy..

Finished Freckle Juice

Our family enjoyed this liitle book! Daddy even joined in with us for this two day journey! Our favorite part was when he drank the freckle juice. G-R-O-S-S! Roman (my pickiest eater) suggested we make our own batch to taste! What did I say? NO of course! And what did your kids think of that mean ole' Sharon? There's one of those in every class isn't there? She was still up to her tricks at the end of the story.. I thought it was neat how one kid wanted freckles so badly & one kid wanted to get rid of his! The grass is always greener on the other side. Use this time to teach your kids that God wants us to be content & He made us each unique & special. Don't forget to celebrate at the end of the book & share your thoughts here! Once I've heard from everyone attending I'll post the next book!!

Summer Elementary Reading Group (6-10yr olds)
Join us in this summer reading group! I am targeting 6-10 year olds but you are wlecome to join us if your kids are younger or older. (6-10yr olds is what age group the books will be geared for.) We are starting Freckle Juice tomorrow, Monday 6/8 and are hoping to have it comepleted on 6/19 so we can discuss it. Reading TO your kids is encouraged. This can be a great family time and will keep your kids interested in books over the summer break. You can check it out at the library or find a cheap, used copy online. If you have a book you recommend to be added to our list (good for approximately 2wks of reading, for boys & girls) message me. We are not planning on meeting in person but I am encouraging you to do so in your own small groups. Celebrate the completion of your books with a treat such as ice cream sundaes, a trip to the park, or (for our Hilliard friends) a trip to Peggy's pool. She has graciously offered it up to us for this. After each book we will discuss our thoughts, the kids reactions, etc. Please visit our event on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/editevent.php?success=1&picture&eid=83487188341#/event.php?eid=83487188341&ref=nfWill announce next book on 6/19.

1st Annual Schools Out Blow Out!
I have always wanted to do this, so I finally put it in action this year! The boys picked a hand full of friends each to invite over immediately after school for swimming, hotdogs & ice cream sundaes! It was so fun! If we had a 'real' pool we would invite both of their classes and some more! One day.. For now, this was perfect! Thanks to Daddy for working so hard on getting the pool up in time!! I also really enjoyed the time spent sitting around talking with friends..
Here are a few pics of the kiddos:
This is one of my best girls, Pam Ash w/her two girls Promise & Praislyn. Her boys Audie & Alijah are our boys' ages. We love this family..
Dallon, Braden & Rocco.. Don't you love the goggles? I do..
Look at these cute boys! Rocco & Brody.. We had about 5 min. of rain so we hung out under the carport with the sand.
Roman's girl...This is Raven, she has been friends with these guys since they were all in 3 year old preschool together! She is smarter & faster than all of them & they love it!
My brave Rocco..
Caleb.. I love this kid!
Fun had by all..
Praise the Lord for these sweet times..
