He will always be MY baby.

Rocco is growing too fast. He will now drink his medicine out of a cup. This is easier for everyone involved but he's my baby..sniff sniff..he's growing too fast..

Happy Birthday Roman!

Roman turned 9 on March 20th and he wanted a boot camp party. We sent out military orders as invites. The kids made a t-shirt when they arrived, using green paint & stencils. They were issued dog tags, tattoos and had their faces painted. After all of that they were challenged in an obstacle course which included cup stacking, bobbing for apples in ice water, rolling a tire, dragging a tire and many other things! Then they beat up an army tank pinata which dropped 5lbs of candy! I know, I know, those of you that know me know that I have banned candy from my house.. We loved the pinata so I had to. I could have stuffed it with bouncy balls but I don't like those either.. After all that we had cake/ice cream and opened presents.. We never did get to tug of war. I didn't count but I know we had at least thirty kids including all the siblings of the guests. Roman said it was his best party ever!
Here are a few (haha) of the pics:

Roman making his boot camp shirt, "PUNK" was his code name.
He wrote "Major Payne" on his dog tags..

Nick explaining the obstacle course.

Cup stacking

This was funny because they were supposed to get in the car but he was too big.

He took way too long thinking about how cold the water would be.

Roman dragging the tire.

Dallon had help.

Raven took care of business!

This was the pinata line! And there were more kids still playing out back!

The birthday boy's turn.

I don't think everyone got a turn but they all got plenty of candy!

This is Roman w/his favorite girl Raven.

My other two babes.

Presents

Deanna's new babies Caleb Aaron & Jaylee.
Aren't they beautiful?

Philippians 4:11-13

We have two weeks to memorize this one because we're not meeting Sunday. Which is good, because I'll be in Savannah w/my pisans.

I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity....I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. ~Philippians 4:11-13

Another one of my favorite things..

Zicam
Are you stuffed up and can't breathe? Try this homeopathic miracle nasal gel! This stuff is awesome! I will warn you that some people say it burns, but it isn't that bad to me. Two squirts in each nostril and within two seconds my passages are opened up! WOW! I know that there have been like 300 people that have sued the company because they lost their sense of smell and taste after using the product. That would be AWFUL! I take no responsibility if you're one of the people that loses their smell/taste. That would be horrible!!! They obviously haven't proved it since it's still on the market but I do know that the company settled. But I didn't find that out until after I had been using it for a while and I have to say it works like nothing else! I did try the swabs that you rub on the inside of your nose and they didn't do a thing for me. I know this is an awful time for those with allergies so this could be just what you need! There are a few different versions, I use Extreme Congestion Relief. I have a deviated septum and a stuffy nose just about disables me but really the only time I use this is when I have a cold.
Don't forget to let me know what you think!

Another one of my favorite things

I haven't gone there in a while because I'm trying not to spend the money - thanks to my Crown Financial bible study.. But one of the most addictive sites I have ever been to is silverjewelryclub.com . My friend Deanna Richard found this site in a magazine. We have both bought a few pieces from them and everything is beautiful! The jewelry is FREE!!!!! All you pay is the $6.99 shipping & handling. SERIOUSLY!!! Can you believe it? They have four pieces of jewelry on at a time. Every 15 minutes it changes, not all at the same time. If you leave the website open while you're doing other things it will 'ding' when one changes. You can also view the upcoming items incase you're wanting a certain piece. My memory is a little sketchy on this next part because it's been a while, but if you buy a pendant you can buy a chain to go with it for ...$4 I think... Anyway, it's an awesome site that you will get addicted to if you like silver jewelry! So be careful!! Happy shopping.. Be sure to comment what you think! I'd love to know..

Here are some pictures of a few of the pieces on now:

Another favorite thing!

Another one of my favorite things that I have to share is a website. I learned about this website over a year ago on First Coast news. They have one item for sale and it changes at midnight every night. The shipping is ALWAYS $5, no matter how big or small the item is. My mom and I have bought from the website several times, especially leading up to Christmas. Some of the best things we have gotten from them:
  • Digital camera
  • irobot vacuum (it vacuums all by itself!)
  • Dyson vacuum
  • remote control helicopters
Plus many other smaller purchases.. So here it goes:

woot.com

Happy shopping!!! Don't forget to check it EVERYDAY!!!

My 1st Favorite Thing: Wallflower from Bath & Body Works

At Christmas time I always like to buy the boys' Sunday School teachers something special. They are so selfless each Sunday, taking the time to teach my boys their love for Jesus. They sacrifice the time they could be in their own classes, to give to my babies. I appreciate them so much. Each Christmas I go on the hunt for something sweet, but not too expensive of course. This year I found these Slatkin & Co. Wallflowers from Bath & Body Works. I am a big fan of smelly good things. I have tried and tried to find a good plug in freshener but it's the same thing every time! They smell great for a few days then you don't ever smell it again.. Well, Wallflowers you smell until the very last drop is dried up! They really do last 6-8 weeks. Nick & I loved ours so much that we decided to give them to some of our family & friends too! They normally run $12.50/ea but are on sale all the time for $6! At Christmas I bought them for $5/ea!!! You can get the starter w/one fragrance bulb or a refill pack that has two fragrance bulbs. Nick even bought one for his classroom! They even come in cute holiday versions. I bought a snowflake for Winter that changes colors, soft pastel colors. I just packed it away for next year. I replaced it with a nightlight wallflower in our living room. I like it because it's a soft glow, not bright. Roman's SS teacher (Marty Cochrane) told me it was her favorite gift that she received from her students! They just came out with a new one I want to try, it's an odor defuser, lemon, ummm... A few days ago I put Red Delicious in our living room and it is such a gentle smell of red apples!! It's not too strong and we will smell it for the entire 6-8 weeks. They just happen to be on sale right now so go get yourself one, or two. or three. And remember they make GREAT gifts! Stay tuned for another one of my favorite things, coming soon...

Happy Birthday Rocco!

Rocco turned 3 March 1st. We celebrated by throwing him and his cousin Ben a dual-birthday party at Chuck E Cheese! Ben turned 2 February 26th. We decided to do this on a Monday night (3/2) because there is not much of a crowd on that night. We practically had the whole place to ourselves! It went beautifully. We had so much fun, almost as much as Rocco & Ben. Roman was such a sweet, unselfish brother, helping Rocco with games and rides. Thank you to Jeff, Meg, Miya & Marissa for celebrating with us! Here are a few of my favorite pictures:

The horse was his first stop. He loves this horse!

Dancing machine! Notice he's playing his 'mow mow' that's Rocco's name for his air guitar.

One happy birthday boy.
Rocco was on top of it!
Ben went second because he was more interested in Chuck E!

Week #7 Colossians 3:23,24

Rocco & I have been sick with the flu since Thursday. Yuck.. Nick felt bad too but he never gets as sick as us, Praise God! Somebody has to keep our household functioning. Today we're back to our schedules, still healing. I'll admit it, I'm such a wimp when I'm sick. We missed our class Sunday. What a wasted weekend... This is our memory verse this week:

Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men...It is the Lord Christ whom you serve. Colossians 3:23,24

I have a few favorite things I'll be blogging about soon! Watch for them & tell your friends because you won't want to miss out! Thanks for visiting...

Week #6 memory verse

Remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35 (NASB)

This Bible study has been so good but I will tell you that it is a no-frills study! It forces you to get real with all areas of your life. Last week we discussed restitution and I realized that I have something in my past that I need to settle. It's something that every time it comes up in my mind I think, 'Oh, that devil is trying to get me again, that is covered in the Blood! And it was before I knew Christ! I'm different now.' But after last Sunday's study group I'm thinking it was not the devil at all! I think I need to try to find the person I wronged and make it right. Wow... It's not the easy road. I want to be right with Jesus first and foremost so I will do what I need to do, no matter how uncomfortable. So this study is so much more than learning how to pay off bills and save money, it is a fantastic study. Now, if you read this please pray for me to get this unresolved issue from 16 years ago settled. Thank you!

Bag Tag

1) Post a picture of whatever bag you are carrying as of late. No, you cannot go up to your closet and pull out that cute little purse you used back before you had kids. I want to know what you carried today or the last time you left the house. No cheating!

2) I want to know how much it cost:) And this is not to judge. This is for entertainment purposes only. So spill it. And if there is a story to go along with how you obtained it, I’d love to hear it.

3) Tag some chicks.

First let me say - Kristen Musgrove, I am so glad you tagged me today and not yesterday or tomorrow. While I LOVE my normal brown leather back pack bag, I have a feeling it's not among the cutest on the block.

Today's bag is a Parfums Givenchy (Honestly, I'm not much on brands.)
My mom got this bag at last fall's Southern Womans Show, Dillards booth I think. She got it free for signing up for a credit card, which she then canceled. It's perfect for my new fantastic ESV Study Bible that my Pastor/Boss bought for me. It's such a big Bible that it required a big bag! I don't think he intended on me carrying to and from church, probably thought I'd use it for a 'home' study Bible. Anway, that's my latest bag!
